Marinated Grilled Tofu
  • 1 package extra-firm organic tofu

  • 1 package mushrooms, washed and dried

  • 1 onion quartered

  • 1 medium zucchini

  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger minced

  • 1 ½ teaspoons sesame oil

  • ½ teaspoon chilli-garlic sauce (gluten-free, sugar-free, additive-free)

  • Tamari (to taste)

  • 2 tablespoons Orange juice

  • 1 tablespion Apple Cider Vinegar

Cooking Instructions:

1. Rinse tofu and place between several paper towels. Place plate on top and let rest for ½ hour to remove excess water. Slice     tofu block into 6 thick slices

2. In a medium bowl, combine ginger, sesame oil, chili –garlic sauce, soy sauce, orange juice and apple cider vinegar. Mix well.     Add tofu and toss gently

3. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour and up to 2 days

4. Heat grill, grill pan or broiler. Lightly brush grill with oil. Drain tofu from marinade and place on grill. Grill for 4 minutes and     turn over

5. Meanwhile, place remaining marinade in saucepan and bring to a boil then reduce to simmer for 3-5 minutes until it                 thickens slightly. Poor over grilled tofu 

6. Mushrooms, zucchini, capsicum, onions and snap peas are a great addition to the tofu. Brush the veggies with a marinade         and grill for 3-5 minutes
